Jagua is an extract of the fruit Genipa americana, also known as Jagua. This juice of this fruit has been used for body ornamentation and medicinal purposes in many areas of South America for centuries. It has only recently been introduced in North America and Europe as an addition to henna body art.
Just like henna, jagua stains the skin and lasts for one to 2 weeks.
Where henna stains the skin in shades of brown, Jagua dyes the skin blue to blue-black. Everyone gets a slightly different hue.
Jagua is NOT Black Henna. It has no nasty chemical additives.
If you are allergic to berries or citrus, you may be sensitive to jagua. Get a free patch test before you get a full design.
When you want to go to the dark side, ask for jagua!
